Storage conditions for roof tiles mainly include the following aspects:
Dry and ventilated: Roof tiles should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid moisture and water accumulation. A humid environment will cause the tiles to absorb too much moisture, which may cause freeze-thaw damage and mold growth, affecting the quality and appearance of the tiles. The indoor relative humidity is best maintained at 40%-60% to prevent the tiles from absorbing too much moisture.
Avoid direct sunlight: The ultraviolet rays in the sun will affect the color and quality of the tiles, so direct sunlight should be avoided. Storage warehouses should be equipped with sunshade facilities or cover the tiles with materials such as shade cloth.
Suitable temperature: The temperature of the storage environment should remain relatively stable, and the ideal temperature range is -5℃ to 35℃. Sharp changes in temperature can cause the tiles to expand and contract, causing cracking or deformation.
Avoid heavy pressure and collision: Roof tiles are fragile materials, and heavy pressure and collision should be avoided during storage. Stacking should be handled with care to avoid rough loading and unloading.
Classification and storage: Tiles of different specifications and colors should be stored in categories for easy management and use. Classification and stacking can avoid collision and squeezing.
Moisture-proof measures: Moisture-proof mats or wooden boards are laid on the ground where tiles are stacked to prevent moisture from the ground from being transferred to the tiles. Desiccant can be used to further prevent moisture.
Packaging intact: After transporting to the storage site, the original packaging of the tiles should be kept intact as much as possible, or appropriate protective measures should be taken, such as wrapping the tiles with foam plastics, cardboard, etc.
Regular inspection: Regularly check the storage of tiles to see if there is any damage or quality change. Environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature should also be checked regularly to ensure that they meet the requirements.
