The core steps of wall panel installation include preliminary planning, environmental cleaning, material processing, precise installation and post-maintenance. The specific process is as follows:
Preparation before installation
Construction planning and environmental cleaning
Clear the overall construction direction of the wall, determine the starting point of the large surface installation (such as from the entrance or the bottom), and ensure that the joint position is smooth and beautiful.
Thoroughly clean the construction area, remove obstacles, cover and protect furniture and floors, and mark hidden lines on the wall (such as wires and water pipes).
Material inspection and re-sizing
Check the list of wall panels and accessories to check the integrity of the materials. Use a laser level and ink fountain to locate the installation reference line of the board to ensure consistency with the design drawings.
Core steps of installation
Base treatment and primer
Wall leveling: Use wooden keels (spacing 400-600mm) or adhesives to adjust the flatness of the wall. The wooden keels must be firmly fixed, and the thickness of the adhesive must be evenly controlled within 5mm.
Sequence of board installation
Install the whole board first: splice from bottom to top and from outside to inside, and fix them with clips or steel nails. Pre-drill holes in places such as sockets.
Packing board cutting: accurately cut the remaining boards according to the actual size to ensure seamless connection. The joints need to be fully coated with adhesive to enhance stability.
Details processing
Line trimming: After completing large-scale installation, process corners, skirtings and other details. The back groove can be used to wrap the columns.
Post-maintenance
Filling and maintenance
Use cement mortar to fully fill the gaps to enhance the overall structural stability.
Maintenance time is not less than 7 days. Avoid knocking or pressure during this period, and repair uneven places in time.
